NSWROA’s Function on Villiers Day Supporting the Team Tye Foundation

Media Release - Monday November 30

The career-ending accident sustained by jockey Tye Angland is widely known in the racing industry. Now wheelchair-bound, Tye has demonstrated great resilience and a determination to make the best of his situation.

Tye recently started a charity, the Team Tye Foundation, to support other racing industry participants who have been left with a disability through their involvement.

The charity was chosen by Godolphin for their runner Collette in the Golden Eagle and she duly won, giving the Team Tye Foundation its first cheque.

The NSW Racehorse Owners’ Association is supporting the charity on Villiers Day, 12 December, at their Christmas Luncheon in the Champagne Bar overlooking the track.

Tye will be a special guest on the day.
