Bull Point's Readily Availabull Powers Home in Magic Millions 2YO Clockwise Classic

Mark Smith - Saturday November 21

Randwick-based trainer John Sargent made the trip south to Victoria worthwhile when the first starter Readily Availabull finished best in Saturday's $250,000 Magic Millions 2YO Clockwise Classic (1000m) at Ballarat.

The race proved a head-scratcher for punters after early favourite Ranveer was a late scratching.

When it looked likely that Prince Amongst Men and Rambeau would fight out the finish, Readily Availabull pounced under a perfectly timed ride by Michael Dee.

The son of Bull Point defeated the Winning Rupert colt Prince Amongst Men by a neck with the Brazen Beau colt Rambeau a long-head back in third.

Scorched Earth (Nicconi) was doing his best work in the closing stages to finish fourth.

Dee said that Readily Availabull has a wonderful attitude.

"What gets him across the line is his temperament. He's just a lovely, relaxed colt. That's going to take him a long way," Dee told racing.com.

"He can improve, bearing in mind that it's only his first start. He didn't have as much speed as the others so that just shows that in time he could get over slightly further and relax and show a good-turn-of-foot."

The $2 million Magic Millions 2YO Classic on the Gold Coast in January is the target for Readily Availabull.

Tasmanian breeders enjoyed a golden day at Sandown last week, and they were back on top again here.

Consigned by Armidale Stud to the 2020 Magic Millions Tasmanian Yearling Sale,  Readily Availabull was knocked down to John Sargent Racing/Mitchell Bloodstock (FBAA) for $25,000.

He is the second winner from four to race out of the 3-time Sydney winner Readily.

A daughter of More Than Ready (USA), Readily is out of a sister to stakes-winner Primas Agere and a half-sister to stakes-winners Los Verdes and Nord's Lucy.

Readily Availabull was a $25,000 Tasmanian Magic Millions yearling

Readily has a yearling brother to Readily Availabull and was covered by Bull Point again last spring.

Kingstar Farm's striking Fastnet Rock stallion Bull Point covered a career-high 109 mares last year.

His 2020 advertised service fee is $8800.
