Magic Wand to be Covered in Australia by Justify

Tara Madgwick - Sunday November 1

Last week Coolmore announced the retirement to stud of their Group I winning mare Magic Wand and it has now been revealed she will be staying in Australia to begin her breeding career.

The daughter of Galileo will join the conga line of elite mares visiting Triple Crown hero Justify (USA), whose first Australian bred foals are being born this spring.

The decision to keep last years Group I VRC Mackinnon stakes winner Magic Wand in Australia makes a lot of sense given her close relation English King (Camelot) topped the Tattersalls Horses in Training Sale last week when selling to Paul Moroney Bloodstock and partners for 925,000 guineas and will be trained here in Australia going forward.

If English King lives up to expectation and also becomes a Group I horse here, the progeny of Magic Wand will undoubtedly find themselves as potential sale-toppers of the future in this part of the world.

Justify will cover Magic Wand
