One to Watch – Gosford

The famed cerise colours of the Ingham family were carried to victory at Gosford on Thursday by a progressive son of Deep Field.

The Chris Waller trained Keck did plenty wrong on debut at Wyong on October 1, but learned some lessons from his next start and then stepped up in trip today to 1600m was able to break the ice at start number three.
 


A homebred for the Ingham family, Keck is a half-brother to handy metro winner Bacchus and is the second winner from Jade Marauder, who was bought by Ingham Bloodstock for $500,000 at the 2011 Inglis Australian Easter Yearling Sale from the Yarraman Park draft.

The daughter of Fastnet Rock proved a natural runner and won the Group III ATC Sweet Embrace Stakes at two and is now showing real promise as a broodmare.

She has a two year-old filly by Written Tycoon called Prasiolite and a yearling filly to follow by I Am Invincible.

Deep Field

Keck is the 40th winner this season for Deep Field,w ho stands at Newgate Farm at a fee of $55,000.
