Camelot 3YO English King Headed for Australia

Tara Madgwick - Wednesday October 28

The Tattersalls Horses in Training third session is underway and as predicted Camelot three year-old English King proved a highly desirable commodity knocked down to Armando Duarte / Ballymore Stables Australia / Paul Moroney Bloodstock for a whopping 925,000 guineas.

The blue-blooded colt is a three-quarter brother to Group III winner Pacifique and to stakes-winner Prudenzia, the dam of Group I stars Magic Wand and Chiquita.

English King sold for 925,000 guineas

He has the ability to match his pedigree having won the Listed Lingfield Derby Trial this year before finishing fifth in the Group I Epsom Derby.

This year’s Cox Plate winner Sir Dragonet has a very similar profile, also being sired by Camelot and finishing fifth in the Epsom Derby last year.
