He is the second foal of winning Exceed and Excel mare Wind Shift, a grand-daughter of Group III winner Blue Storm from the family of Group I winner and $1.2million earner Flit.

Wind Shift was sold at the Inglis Broodmare Sale this year for $20,000 to Miscellany Bloodstock and produced a filly by Exosphere for her new owners on September 8.

Newgate Farm’s Deep Field has enjoyed a hot run in Hong Kong where he has had six winners from 12 runners ensuring his stock at this sale were always going to be sought after.

The powerhouse son of Northern Meteor stands at a fee of $55,000 this spring.
