Champagne Brunch and parade Continues Ready2Race Build Up

Media Release - Sunday October 18

Preparations for Tuesday’s Inglis Ready2Race Sale continued at Riverside today with the annual Veuve Clicquot Champagne Brunch and catalogue parade.

Structured in a ‘speed dating’ style, every draft was represented in the parade, which was conducted in front of a large and enthusiastic crowd.

Trainers including Paul Snowden, John O’Shea, Gerald Ryan, Gary Moore, Greg Hickman, Kim Waugh, John Sargent, Annabel Neasham, Peter Robl, Rod Northam, Mitchell Beer and Gordon Richards along with agents, syndicators and broader industry participants such as Andrew Williams, Bill and James Mitchell, John Hutchinson, Bevan Smith, Scott Darby, Johnny McKeever, Anton Koolman and Ottavio Galletta and others were spotted among the crowd.

“This is the strongest 2YO catalogue ever presented in Australia and it’s attracting a lot of interest from both domestic and international investors,” Inglis’ General Manager of Bloodstock Sales and Marketing Sebastian Hutch said.

“You only need to look at Saturday’s race results to understand why Tuesday’s sale is a must-attend – Ready2Race graduate Trumbull won the G3 Sydney Stakes at Randwick while at Caulfield Redwood Shadow, a graduate of the 2019 sale, rubber stamped his G1 Victoria Derby credentials with a bit run in the in the 2000m G3.

“There were also a number of pedigree updates, including an outstanding run from Hit The Shot, a full brother to lot 139, who was narrowly beaten in the same race as Redwood Shadow and looks a similarly bright prospect.

“There is going to be some outstanding value to be found here on Tuesday, there is no doubt about it, so I would encourage any discerning owner or investor to have a look at the catalogue and come out to the sale.”
