Ready2Race Inspections Begin at Riverside on Friday

Media Release - Thursday October 15

Inspections begin tomorrow (Friday October 16) at Riverside Stables for Inglis’ Ready2Race Sale.

A majority of the horses have arrived at the complex and will be available for parade from lunchtime.

To view the full parade schedule, CLICK HERE.

Recent renewals of this sale have produced over 400 individual winners of over $50m in prizemoney including G1 Doncaster Mile victor Nettoyer.

It’s got the highest winners-to-runners ratio of any of the Australian 2YO sales and the catalogue this year is outstanding, with youngsters by the likes of proven sires Fastnet Rock, Sebring, Not A Single Doubt, Pierro, Zoustar, Written Tycoon, Deep Field, Vancouver, Lonhro, Nicconi, Dundeel, Hinchinbrook, Brazen Beau, Choisir, Ocean Park and All Too Hard – plus international stallions Siyouni and Into Mischief - to name just a few, as well as first season stallions such as Capitalist, American Pharoah, Shalaa, Extreme Choice, Flying Artie, Frosted, Astern, Sooboog, Star Turn, Maurice, Divine Prophet and Tivaci etc.

It has also been a significant boon for the Hong Kong market, with a stronger winners-to-runners ratio and greater average earnings per runner than any other Australian 2YO Sale in the same period.

Tomorrow’s action will begin at Warwick Farm racecourse at 10am where 12 horses will take part in an alternate breeze up session.

Vision of the breezes will be on the Inglis website within 24 hours of taking place.

The breeze-up action to date has been nothing short of phenomenal.

The fastest time in Inglis Ready2Race breeze up history was recorded at Warwick Farm last month when a Deep Field x Sugar Bay colt (lot 135) of Blake Ryan Racing recorded a scintillating time of 9.95secs.

Of the 170 juveniles to have breezed so far, 148 have clocked sub-11 seconds.

Sunday morning will see the annual Veuve Clicquot Ready2Race Parade at Riverside from 11am, where a strong selection of the catalogue will be paraded for buyers while they enjoy a complimentary brunch on behalf of Inglis.

The parade will be live streamed onto the Inglis website for those unable to attend.

Inspection days are Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday, with the sale to begin at 10am Tuesday (October 20).

All participants planning on attending the complex at any stage over the next five days will need to pre-register via the Inglis website, as part of Inglis’ Covid-Safe plan.
