Not a Single Doubt Stakes Double as Broodmare Sire

Tara Madgwick - Monday October 5

Arrowfield Stud had a perfect start to a new season of juvenile racing with their current sires Written Tycoon and Shalaa (IRE) providing the winners of the Group III ATC Gimcrack Stakes (Enthaar) and Group III ATC Breeders Plate (Shaquero), both of those winners produced by daughters of their now pensioned stalwart Not a Single Doubt.

Enthaar was absolutely brilliant in winning the Gimcrack in brilliant fashion and only just missing the race record – Read about her here.

Shaquero provided Invincible Spirit’s champion son Shalaa with the perfect start to his stud career, first Australian runner a stakes-winner! – read about him here.

In the early years of his stud career, Not a Single Doubt stood at a modest fee so did not get the quality of mare to really make his presence felt as a broodmare sire from those early crops, but that will change as time goes on.

To date he is the sire of the dam of eight stakes-winners headed by Hong Kong based Group I winner Le Capitaine, a son of Captain Sonador, and Group II WATC Karakatta Plate winner Ima Single Man, who is by Gingerbread Man.
