NZB Ready to Run Catalogue Brimming with Quality

The catalogue for New Zealand Bloodstock's Ready to Run Sale of Two-Year-Olds is now online.

It is available online and on the freeiPad application, with catalogues due to be mailed out late next week.

The most successful Sale of its kind in Australasia, NZB's Ready to Run Sale has celebrated110 stakes wins in the past five seasons alone, nearly double the number of our closest competitor.

Graduates of the Sale have won 19 Group 1 races in the same time, cementing its position as a prolific producer of successful racehorses.

GingernutsHeadlined by the recent Group 1-winning performances of Gingernuts(NZ) (Iffraaj) and Hall of Fame(NZ) (Savabeel) – graduates of the Sale have won the Rosehill Guineas, New Zealand Derby, Levin Classic, Futurity Stakes, Emirates Stakes, New Zealand Two Thousand Guineas, Caulfield Cup, Australian Derby, Easter Handicap, Haunui Farm Classic, Hong Kong Mile, Stradbroke Handicap, Auckland Cup, International Stakes and Victoria Derby.

This year's catalogue has attracted 437 two-year-olds prepared by New Zealand's best horse educators. A wide range of 117 sires from New Zealand and Australia are represented.

Catalogue highlights include:

There were a number of star racetrack performers last season with 27 stakes races won by 16 graduates of the Ready to Run Sale. Adding the icing on the cake were Group 1 victories by Sale graduatesGingernutsandHall of Fame.

Dual Group 1 winnerGingernutstriumphed on both sides of the Tasman in his three-year-old season with the Group 1 New Zealand Derby and Group 1 Rosehill Guineas for Te Akau Racing.

Also achieving Group 1 success was Hall of Fame,winning the Group 1 Levin Classic, the third consecutive year a graduate of the Ready to Run Sale has won the Group 1 three-year-old feature following the win by Dukedom(NZ) (Bachelor Duke) in 2016 and Gaultier(NZ) (Rios) in 2015.

Graduates shining the light for the Sale in Singapore include stakes winners Be Bee(NZ) (Showcasing),Alibi(NZ) (Darci Brahma),Countofmontecristo(NZ) (Echoes of Heaven),Bahana(NZ) (Elusive City) and reigning Singapore Horse of the Year Debt Collector(NZ) (Thorn Park).

Other stakes winning graduates last season include Macau-based victors Bobo So Cute(Savabeel),Luen on Treasure(Dane Shadow) and Kelowna Star(NZ) (Sufficient); Selangor Gold Cup winner Listen(NZ) (Iffraaj); Listed winners Maybe Miami(NZ) (Iffraaj),Mongolian Wolf(Pluck),Cylinder Beach(NZ) (Showcasing); and Sacred Master(NZ) (Mastercraftsman) who won the Group 3 Newcastle Gold Cup.

Every horse entered in the Ready to Run Sale has the opportunity to Breeze Up with the last 200m of their work filmed and timed. Breeze-Ups are set to be conducted at Te Rapa Racecourse on 16 & 17 October, and the footage will be available online from 20 October.

New Zealand Bloodstock's Ready to Run Sale will be held on 22 & 23 November with selling commencing at 11am each day.
