Juvenile Trial Watch – Randwick

There were some high profile stakes-winning heat winners at the Randwick barrier trials on Friday morning in Fierce Impact, California Zimbol and Dawn Passage as well as two interesting juvenile winners by Not a Single Doubt and I Am Invincible.

Gai Waterhouse and Adrian Bott won the Group I ATC Vinery Stakes last season with exciting Not a Single Doubt filly Shout the Bar and will also have a lot of fun with her full sister Emerald Bay, who scored a dominant win in her 742m heat in the Sun Bloodstock colours.
 


Annabel Neasham is the trainer of speedy I Am Invincible colt Ghostwriter, who did everything right and stuck hard to the inside fence to score a narrow win in the Aquis colours.
 





Ghostwriter has an interesting mix of speed and stamina in his pedigree being from Heavenly Sound (GB), a winning Street Cry mare, whose dam is a full sister to Epsom Derby winner and outstanding sire High Chaparral.

The family has been making news this year as another of High Chaparral’s full sisters is the dam of top class three year-old filly Fancy Blue, a Group I winner in France and the UK in 2020.
