Ace High's Trump Cards

Media Release - Tuesday September 22

Rich Hill Stud is delighted with the first foals of resident sire Ace High, a dual Group 1-winning son of High Chaparral.

Ace High is producing some terrific first foals.

“At this early stage we’ve been impressed with their quality and physique so it is quite exciting,” John Thompson said.

“Ace High is the last great son of High Chaparral to go to stud and as a sire of sires he has been second to none – Dundeel, So You Think, Toronado and Redwood are all doing extremely well.”

Ace High served 100 mares in his first season and Thompson reported further strong interest this year.

“He was a very versatile horse and as a two-year-old was second to Champagne Cuddles at Rosehill in October. Looking at the strength of his foals, we would expect some of them to be reasonably precocious as well,” Thompson said.

Filly from Gold Rose

Filly from Hei Matau.

Colt from Jezibaba

Colt from Long Lake

Colt from May Rain
