Happy Birthday Burst!

Born and bred at Newhaven Park, Burst carried the Kelly family colours to victory in the 1992 Golden Slipper before going on to win the 2YO Triple Crown.

The daughter of Newhaven Park’s Golden Slipper winning sire Marauding was sold at the end of her racing career for a record sum as a broodmare and produced 11 foals for various breeders, six of which raced and five of them won before returning to Newhaven Park later in life.

Burst has many descendants at stud, her daughters and grand-daughters producing stakes-winners including Group II winner Éclair Choice and Vernichey, a Group I winner in South Africa last season.
