Impressive Trial Winner for Flying Artie

Tara Madgwick - Tuesday September 15

Promising young sire Flying Artie has wasted no time putting a trial winner on the board with Princess Bojack scoring an easy three length victory at Toowoomba on Tuesday morning.

The Mick Nolan trained filly was a $50,000 Magic Millions purchase for her trainer from the Murrulla Stud draft so is eligible for the 2021 Magic Millions 2YO Classic.

Princess Bojack as a yearling

She jumped quickly to take up the lead and surged away to win her 870 m heat as she pleased.

Princess Bojack was bred by Tim and Celie Nolan and is the second foal of Catseye Surprise, a metro winning Testa Rossa mare from the family of Group winners Fiscal Fantasy, Impaler, Fair Trade and Miss Exfactor.

She returned to Newgate Farm last spring and is in foal to Winning Rupert.

Flying Artie was an outstanding two year-old that placed in the Golden Slipper and Blue Diamond, so should not be underestimated as a source of early juveniles.

Completely free of Danehill blood, he stands at Newgate at a fee of $16,500 this spring.
