G2 Winner for Sir Prancealot

Tara Madgwick - Thursday August 20

Cornerstone Stud shuttler Sir Prancealot (IRE) featured at York overnight when his stakes-winning two year-old Miss Amulet upped the ante to take out the Group II Lowther Stakes (6f).

Trained by Ken Condon and ridden by James Doyle, Miss Amulet ran out the 6f stringly to win by a length taking her overall record to three wins from six starts.

“We'll be looking at the Cheveley Park (G1) now. Why not? Let's see where Miss Amulet ends up," said Ken Condon.

“When these fillies are improving, you never know. We have a lovely team of two-year-olds this season and the wonderful part of it all is none of them cost a great deal.”

Bought for a modest 7,500 pounds at the Tattersalls Ascot Yearling Sale, Miss Amulet is the eighth stakes-winner for Sir Prancealot and is the best of three winners from Oasis dream mare Shena’s Dream, who comes from the family of Group I winner Mill Native.

Sir Prancealot will have his first two year-old runners in Australia this season and stands at Cornerstone Stud at a fee of $9,900.
