First Foal for Trapeze Artist

Tara Madgwick - Friday August 14

Bred and retained to race by Bert Vieira, Champion 3YO Sprinter Trapeze Artist is now moving on with the next phase of his career with the arrival of his first foals and it only seems fitting one of the first to be born was bred by Mr Vieira.

This eye-catching colt foaled at Widden Stud is from young Brazen Beau mare She’s Brazen, an unraced daughter of Group III winner Hi Belle.

“Bert Vieira’s first Trapeze Artist foal is a chip off the old block, resembling his father with a good head and hind leg,” said Widden Stud’s Assistant Stud Manager, Ben Walsh

“This is an exciting start as the most popular first season sire last year, I’m sure there will be plenty more to come.”

A four time Group I winner by champion sire Snitzel, Trapeze Artist covered 180 mares last spring at Widden and stands at a fee of $77,000 in 2020.
