Golden Slipper winner Farnan is ready to pick up where he left off!

Golden Slipper winner Farnan jumped straight to the lead and stayed there, working to the line under his own steam with another high class three year-old colt in Mamaragan in close attendance.

The Gai Waterhouse and Adrian Bott trained Farnan wore a different set of colours this time, wearing the royal blue, light blue vee, sleeves and cap of his new part owners Kia Ora Stud, who will ultimately stand the colt at stud.

During his previous six starts the son of Not A Single Doubt has raced in the silks of his other owners Aquis Farm and the troubled international operation, Phoenix Thoroughbreds.

The next heat was won by another Aquis and Phoenix co-owned colt in Prague, who was revved up along the inside to beat Group I winning mare Con te Partiro by a neck, running slightly quicker time than Farnan.

The Ciaron Maher and David Eustace trained son of Redoute’s Choice was last seen finishing second in the Group I ATC Sires Produce.

This was his second trial and he looks quite forward for his spring return.
