Kings of the Kids

Tara Madgwick - Sunday August 2

The ability to regularly sire plentiful juvenile winners is a unique talent possessed by few stallions and in recent years that title of most successful Australian sire by juvenile winners has been dominated by a handful of stallions.

The insatiable desire of racehorse owners for a quick return on investment makes these sires super popular in the sale ring and it’s no coincidence that the two most expensive sires in the country are I Am Invincible and Snitzel, who have topped the list below for the past five seasons.

While the Champion 2YO Sire by earnings can often be skewed by the performance of a one off star juvenile, these are the sires that consistently produce precocious horses and in a landscape where lucrative sales incentive races feature prominently, these guys offer the best chance to be running at two.

Sntizel has been the leading sire of 2YO winners in three of the past five seasons
