Sixth Winner for Outreach

Tara Madgwick - Sunday July 26

Promising young sire Outreach posted his sixth winner when the Chris Waller trained Castlecomer saluted at Gosford on Saturday.

Having his second run back from a spell after being gelded, Castlecomer relished the step out to 1600m and led all the way to score a determined short head win.

A $150,000 Inglis Classic purchase from the Kanangra draft for Chris Waller Racing / Guy Mulcaster Bloodstock, Castlecomer is a half-brother to Group I winner Under the Louvre and Group III placed La Pulga being the sixth winner from six foals to race from top producer Barcelona Girl.

Castlecomer as a yearling

Barcelona Girl had another colt by Outreach last year and he is her final foal.

A blue-blooded son of Exceed and Excel, Outreach stands at Widden Stud at a fee of $5,500 this spring.
