I Am Invincible is finishing the season in top gear with 15 winners in the past seven days and 40 in the past 30.

I Am Invincible won’t be taking the Australian General Sires title by earnings this season, but he is looking good to be the leading sire by winners with a flurry of activity in recent days including an impressive juvenile winner at Kembla on Thursday with close relations to be offered at the Magic Millions National Sale.

The Richard and Michael Freedman trained colt On the Lead was last seen finishing fifth to subsequent Golden Slipper winner Farnan in the Group II ATC Todman Stakes, so it was no surprise to see him run as a short priced favourite in a 1000m juvenile maiden.

He tracked the leaders for Tommy Berry and skipped clear to win by a couple of lengths in a most promising return.

A $400,000 Magic Millions National Weanling Sale purchase for Go Bloodstock Australia/Paul Moroney Bstock from the Aquis Farm draft, On the Lead is a half-brother to stakes-winner Cyber Attack and is the second winner for Marechal.

A half-sister by General Nediym to Group I winner Humidor, Marechal is catalogued for the Magic Millions National Broodmare Sale as Lot 303 and is offered empty having not been served last season.

Her current weanling, a colt by Invader is also in the sale as Lot 863 and is pictured below.

2YO racing might garner a lot of attention, but the reality is G1 races run for this age group are shining a light on a comparatively small slice of that foal crop, whereas 3YO racing is where the real action lies as the good horses from the season before have to step up or slide out of contention.
