Sponsored Content - by Tara Madgwick - Wednesday July 22

Lime Country Thoroughbreds enjoyed great feedback on their ‘Legwork Done Documents’ created for their broodmares for sale this year and have provided the same comprehensive information on all lots they will offer at next week’s Magic Millions National Broodmare Sale

Lime Country will present a lovely selection of quality race fillies and broodmares by emerging broodmare sires like Lonhro, Snitzel, Redoute's Choice, I Am Invincible and Written Tycoon amongst others.

The mares offered in foal also provide genuine peace of mind having been covered by proven sires such as So You Think, Lonhro, Deep Field and More Than Ready.

“Legwork Done” documents have again been created for every individual, with a detailed dossier on each mare presented in a clear and concise manner and linked to every Magic Millions pedigree page.

Just click on “EXTRA INFORMATION FROM VENDOR” directly above the horses pedigree page allowing potential buyers to click straight into the “Legwork Done” document featuring a wealth of information including additional imagery, breeding and foaling history, health and treatments information, handling and behavioural advice, etc.

With so many people unable to attend this sale due to the pandemic, the “Legwork Done” document offers fast, relevant, genuine information available in an instant, all the questions you would ask during a physical inspection answered at the click of a mouse.

With a growing client base and potential opportunities in what looms as an uncertain market, Lime Country will also be stepping into the weanling trading market for the first time since moving to Australia

“It’s generally something we’ve left to clients of the farm, while we have stuck to the growing out, preparing and consigning of horses since we have been at Lime Country Australia, however we feel we are now in a good position to invest,” said Jo Griffin.

“We believe there are opportunities in the market at this time and combined with the enthusiasm of our client base we intend to add to the two colts purchased at Inglis earlier in the month and divide them up as we have previously with various groups of owners for diversity while maintaining a percentage for the farm as well.”

Lime Country have leased out their under-utilised breaking and pre-training facility.

“Back in 2018 we elected to wind up that side of the business to concentrate on the broodmares and sale preparation of yearlings,” said Jo Griffin.

“From August 1 we have leased out this area of the farm which will now be put to good use. It is an outstanding facility including boxes, a 1200m turf track, all weather arena, turn out paddocks and treadmill that we are delighted to see will be in full use going forward.”
