Valuable Win for Redoute’s Choice Blueblood

Tara Madgwick - Wednesday July 22

Blue-blooded Redoute’s Choice filly Redoute’s Image opened her account at Canterbury on Wednesday with a determined victory in the Australian Bloodstock colours bringing a timely pedigree update for her Magic Millions bound half-brother.

Resuming from a spell following some good runs in Brisbane earlier this year behind quality two year-olds Rothfire and Kisukano, the Kris Lees trained Redoute’s Image was fit and ready to fire.

She knuckled down to her task over the final furlong to run down favourite La Foret and win the 1100m fillies maiden by a short neck.

A $320,000 Magic Millions purchase from the Element Hill draft for Australian Bloodstock/Ronald Rauscher, Redoute’s Image has a win and three placings from five starts with over $90,000 already in the bank.

She is the second winner from Tracy’s Image, a winning half-sister to Australian Horse of the Year Typhoon Tracy, stakes-winner Red Element and to Group I placed Kylikwong, the grand-dam of Group I winner Alligator Blood.

Given the depth of her pedigree, connections will no doubt seek Black Type races for Redoute’s Image in the future as her career unfolds.

Element Hill have catalogued the current yearling from Tracy’s Image, a colt by Sebring , for the Magic Millions National Yearling Sale as Lot 1362.
