G1 US Update for MM Mare Pedigree

Sponsored Content - by Tara Madgwick - Sunday July 19

Willow Park Stud are presenting a sensational draft of 38 mares at the Magic Millions National Broodmare Sale and one of them had a major pedigree update from the US on Saturday with her classy half-brother Paret a gallant second in track record time in the $315,000 Group I United Nations Stakes at Monmouth on turf.

Australian bred Harbour Watch gelding Paret, started life with the Chris Waller stable, but was sent to race in North America after being barred here for bleeding twice.

Now trained by Chuck Lawrence, he won a Listed race at Belmont at his previous start and was beaten a length by Aquaphobia in his first crack at Group I company after leading all the way.

Paret was a four time metropolitan winner here in Australia and now has the overall record of five wins and eight placings from 23 starts with the promise of more Black Type to come.
