Coolmore Racing Offers World of Opportunity

Tara Madgwick - Thursday July 16

The recent win of undefeated Galileo colt Tuscan Gaze in the Group II Italian Derby again highlighted the depth of talent that can be purchased as tried horses from Coolmore, a fact Australians have seen demonstrated this season through horses such as Cape of Good Hope (IRE) and Southern France (IRE).

Bloodstock agent Freddy Tylicki enjoyed his first major success when Tuscan Gaze landed the €704,000 Italian Derby at Capannelle on Sunday, having sourced the son of Galileo for owners Mag Racing Srl two weeks ago.

Tuscan Gaze had shown ability winning both of his two starts for previous trainer John Gosden in the ownership of the Coolmore partners and Lady Bamford.

"An Italian friend of mine rang me on behalf of Mag Horse Racing Srl, the new syndicate for this horse, around the time of Royal Ascot asking me to find them a horse for the Italian Derby,” Freddy Tylicki told Racing Post.

"I got in touch ith Jamie Moriarty, the racing manager at Coolmore, and enquired to see if this horse was for sale. I know Jamie quite well simply because we used to be apprentices together at Richard Fahey's. Everything went straightforward, and it was a pleasure dealing with Jamie and Coolmore. The rest is history.

"I'm absolutely delighted for Mag Racing Srl, the trainer Mr Bietolini, and Coolmore - they've sold several good horses in training down through the years, and I'm really grateful that they put their trust in me.”

Cape of Good Hope wins the G1 Caulfield Stakes

This season in Australia, Cape of Good Hope has won the Group I MRC Caulfield Stakes for Lindsay Park Racing and Southern France won the Group II MRC Zipping Classic for the Ciaron Maher and David Eustace stable, while back in 2017 the Lloyd and Nick Williams owned Melbourne Cup quinella of Rekindling and Johannes Vermeer were both sourced from Coolmore Racing.

Southern France wins the G2 Zipping Classic

Rob Archibald is the Racing Manager for Coolmore Australia and is available to discuss what horses are for sale at Ballydoyle and can be contacted on  0438 458 137 or by email rarchibald@coolmore.com.au
