New 2YO Stakes-Winner for Starspangledbanner

Tara Madgwick - Monday July 13

Starspangledbanner is headed back to Rosemont Stud in Victoria this spring and featured in Ireland overnight with a new stakes-winner with two yea-old filly Dickiedooda capturing the Listed Tipperary Stakes at Cork (5f).

Trained by Jessica Harrington, Dickiedooda ran out and easy length and three-quarter winner and has now won two of three starts.

Purchased for a modest 30,000 guineas from the Tattersalls December Yearling Sale, Dickiedooda is the first winner from So Dandy, a half-sister by Oratorio to stakes-winners Power Elite and La Sylvia.

She is the 13th stakes-winner for Choisir’s champion son Starspangledbanner, who  stands at a fee of $19,800 this spring.
