Nominations closed for the two spring carnival features on Monday, with 89 nominated for the Epsom and 73 for the Metropolitan. Both races will be held on September 30.

ATC executive general manager of racing James Heddo said it was pleasing to see a strong Victorian representation in this year's list of entries.

"This year's Sydney Spring Carnival is shaping as one of the strongest and most exciting yet," Heddo said.

"In particular we are pleased with such strong support from leading Victorian trainers including Darren Weir, Robert Hickmott and the Hayes and Dabernig team."

Weights for both races will be released by Racing NSW on September 18.
