McEvoy has been a force with his early season two-year-olds in recent years with the likes of Concealer, Despatch and Azazel producing spring victories for the stable and the 2017 crop got off to a good start.

McEvoy took two youngsters to Cranbourne on Monday with Still Invincible taking out the colts and geldings' trial while Sunlight was a two-length winner of the fillies' heat.

Both two-year-olds showed natural speed before cruising home in their respective trials with Still Invincible clocking 50.53 seconds for the 800m hit-out while Sunlight completed her heat in 50.72 seconds.

Still Invincible is a half-brother to the two-year-old Group I winner Sizzling that fetched $900,000 at the Gold Coast Magic Millions sale in January.

Sunlight is a daughter of the dual Group I winner Zoustar out of the speedy Solar Charged, the winner of the Group III Kindergarten Stakes at her second start.

Zoustar also had a trial winner in New Zealand on August 1 when Quattro Katie won a 620m heat.

The 2016 Australian Derby winner Tavago finished second to the multiple city winner Lovani in an 1190m trial that also featured the Queensland Oaks placegetter Ana Royale, who finished third.

Local trainer Greg Eurell produced I Did It Again for his first public outing since the gelding's debut win at Caulfield on July 15.

Eurell has the Group II Danehill Stakes in mind for I Did It Again's first-up assignment and the son of Nicconi won his trial by 2 ½ lengths in a time of 48.44 seconds.
