A change in business model will see Tamac Stud Farm selling a select draft of quality youngsters at the Inglis Australian Weanling Sale at Riverside Stables next week highlighted by two stunning babies from the second crop of Golden Slipper winner Capitalist.

Based at Walcha, Tamac Stud Farm has been family owned for 50 years.

“We’ve previously been selling our foal crop as yearlings, but have had a change in business plan and for the next three years have decided to test the weanling market,” said Mark Taylor of Tamac Stud Farm.

“We’ve sold yearlings for up to $100,000 in the past and are looking to a program of line breeding to influential blue hens to upgrade our pedigrees for the future.”

Tamac Stud Farm will present five lovely BOBS eligible youngsters at Riverside Stables and this cracking colt by Capitalist is a great example of the line breeding Mark Taylor refers to.

Lot 287 is the second foal of Malakiya, a Redoute’s Choice grand-daughter of Group II winning blue hen Bold Promise, the dam of Golden Slipper winner Merlene and dual Group I winning sprinter Miss Pennymoney.

Bold Promise is also the third dam of this colt’s sire Capitalist, the family also producing another group I winner in VRC Oaks queen Dear Demi.

A powerhouse individual foaled in early August he looks as his pedigree would suggest and also worth noting the success of Capitalist’s sire Written Tycoon over daughters of Redoute’s Choice, a nick that has produced 17 winners from 18 runners headed by Group II winner Teleplay.

Lot 251 is another youngster by Capitalist, a filly from five time winner Kalahari Princess, who comes from the family of Group I winners Flavour and Sonntag.

Promising young I Am Invincible stallion Super One has been quietly racking up winners in recent weeks with his tally of eight winners putting him equal third on the leading first season sires list by winners behind only ill-fated Spill the Beans and Pride of Dubai.

He is the sire of the next two youngsters from Tamac Stud Farm.

Lot 49 is a half-brother to three time winner Onemore Prince from Sirindhorn, an unraced half-sister by Husson (Arg) to Listed ATC Breeders Plate winner and now successful sire Whittington from stakes-winner Maha Chakri.

The I Am Invincible x Hussonet nick has achieved notable success with six winners from eight runners headed by Group II winner Pure Elation and stakes-winner Overshare.

Lot 212 is a colt from Fraud, a placed half-sister by Lonhro to Group III winner Ourforeignminister.

Lonhro mares have worked well with I Am Invincible to produce five winners from six runners highlighted by stakes-winner Evalina.

Rounding  out the draft is Lot 267, a filly by Flying Artie with an Inglis Easter quality female pedigree.

She is the third foal of Lady Superstar, a half-sister by Starcraft to stakes-winner Express Power and stakes-placed Sunday Service, the dam of three stakes-winners and grand-dam of dual Group I winner and $2.2million earner Ace High.

Lady Superstar comes from an internationally renowned family as her stakes-winning dam Lady’s Delight is a grand-daughter of Spring Adieu, also the grand-dam of breed shaping sire Danehill.

See the weanlings at Barn H Stables 7 – 11.
