Free Flying Star wins at Geelong - image Reg Ryan/ Racing Photos

Free Flying Star was third on debut at Wangaratta earlier this month and took plenty of benefit from that outing.

She hit the line hard for Jamie Mott to win the 1300m maiden by a neck.

A $190,000 Magic Millions Adelaide purchase for Redgum Racing/CB Bloodstock from the Grenville Stud draft, Free Flying Star was bred by Tara Farm and is a half-sister to Group I ATC Australian Oaks runner up Scarlet Dream.

She is the fifth winner from six to race out of former South African Champion 2YO Filly and Group I winner Asylum Seeker (SAF).

Free Flying Star as a yearling

Asylum Seeker has a yearling colt by Zoustar, a weanling filly by Your Song and was covered last spring by Smart Missile.

Zoustar has had a great season with over 90 winners of more than $10million in prizemoney highlighted by six stakes-winners.

The champion son of Northern Meteor stands at Widden Stud this spring at a fee of $121,000.
