Last to First for So You Think 2YO

Tara Madgwick - Wednesday June 17

Gerald Ryan already has a good So You Think two year-old in the stable in undefeated Peltzer and he looks to have another with Zero to Hundred scoring an exciting last to first debut win at Warwick Farm on Wednesday.

Drawn the outside in the field of seven, Zero to Hundred was allowed to drop out to last by Kerrin McEvoy, before circling the field coming to the turn.

She powered home out wide through the heavy 8 ground to win the 1100m maiden by a length.

“She’s a nice filly. We've only had her for about a month and she didn’t show us much  at the start, but when we put the blinkers on her it made all the difference,” said Gerald Ryan.

“I think she’ll get over a lot further. She’s a big strong girl that eats everything you feed her.”

Zero to Hundred was bought for $440,000 from the Segenhoe draft at Inglis Easter by Mark Newnham on behalf of a client, who then later sent the horse to Gerald Ryan. Adding salt to the wound, Zero to Hundred beat the Mark Newnham trained filly Escape Artist.

Zero to Hundred was a $440,000 Inglis Easter purchase

Bred by Segenhoe, Zero to Hundred is the second winner from minor winning Redoute’s Choice mare Celebrities Choice, a sibling to Group I winner Gathering, Group III winner Florentina and stakes-winner California Turbo from the Twyla branch of the famed Dancing Show family.

Celebrities Choice has a weanling colt by Sebring and is back in foal to So You Think.

So You Think is enjoying his best ever season with over 100 winners of $9.6 million and stands at Coolmore at a fee of $38,500.
