First Stakes-Winner for Reliable Man

Westbury Stud's dashing grey Group I winner Reliable Man (GB) has sired his first stakes-winner with a dominant win in the Group III 144th Steinhoff Zukunftsrennen at Baden Baden in Germany on Sunday for unbeaten filly Narella.

Reliable ManAn easy winner on debut, the Markus Klug trained Narella stepped it up a notch in her first Black Type assignment, powering clear to win the seven furlong contest by two lengths.

Narella is the best of three winners from stakes-winning Monsun mare Naomia, a daughter of Group I Italian Oaks winner Nagoya.

Winner of the Group I Chantilly Prix du Jockey Club and the Group I ATC Queen Elizabeth Stakes, Reliable Man is also the sire of Group I placed New Zealand filly Belle du Nord and recent Australian winner Sully from his first Southern Hemisphere bred crop of foals that are now three.

A stunningly good looking son of Dalakhani, Reliable Man stands at Westbury Stud at a fee of $17,500.
