Juvenile Trial Watch – Randwick

Tara Madgwick - Friday June 12

Champion sire Snitzel is powering towards another Champion Australian 2YO Sire title with a remarkable 24 juvenile winners from 48 runners this season and we probably saw another winner for him in the pipeline at the Randwick barrier trials this morning.

The Peter and Paul Snowden trained Global Queen looked very professional, as she should, having had three previous trials, jumping well and leading all the way for James McDonald.

A winner at her previous trial on grass at Wyong in early March, she was seen on the polytrack this time and was never off the bridle in scoring a two length win in her 1080m heat.

Global Queen was a $500,000 Inglis Easter purchase

A $500,000 Inglis Easter purchase from the Highgrove Stud draft for GPI Trust No.2 / Andrew Williams Bloodstock / Makybe, Global Queen is a full sister to Group I winning juvenile Summer Passage being from Encosta de Lago mare Subsequent, a sibling to stakes-winners Order of the Sun, Beauty and Get to Work.
