20th Stakes-Winner for Kingman

Tara Madgwick - Wednesday June 10

Invincible Spirit’s champion son Kingman passed a small milestone overnight siring his 20th stakes-winner in France when progressive three year-old colt Chachnak captured the Group III Prix de Guiche (1m1f) at Chantilly.

A two time winner as a juvenile, the Fabrice Vermeulen trained colt was second at his previous run in Group III company and scored a half length win here to claim his first Black Type success in a race seen as a traditional lead up to the French Derby.

Retained to race by his breeders, Chanak has won three of seven starts and is a half-brother to stakes-winner Into the Mystic from Group II wining Danehill Dancer mare Tamazirte.

Chachnak’s sire Kingman has notched his 20 stakes-winner with his oldest progeny just turned four and stands at a fee of 150,000 pounds at Juddmonte Farms.
