Targeted towards QLD, Strasbourg showed an eye-catching turn of foot to win the Group II BRC Sires Produce Stakes 7f – a race won and used as a launching pad for superstars such as ZOUSTAR and MELODY BELLE in recent years.

Trainer Peter Snowden post race described Strasbourg as an elite talent who had taken the eye from an early stage.

“He can really let down when given space this horse and he went from back in the field to leading in a short space of time. I really like him, in fact I’ve liked him for a long time,” he said.

China Horse Club’s Michael Wallace described Strasbourg as physically flawless.

“Hearing how good looking they are is one thing, actually seeing the horse in the flesh is another. As soon as you see Strasbourg you will be booking in. It’s that simple,” stated Wallace.

“We buy a number of horses every year yet this colt stands out as one of the best types we’ve ever purchased. He’s by far the best looking son of I Am Invincible we’ve had involvement in.

“Not only that, he’s the most precocious son of ‘Vinny’ we’ve had through the CHC system given he was a dominant debut winner and stakes performer as a pre-christmas 2yo. He’s got an ideal profile and genetic makeup to be a successful stallion.

“We’re thrilled to partner with an emerging organisation in Rosemont and excited to be supporting the stallion with a number of CHC mares.”

Rosemont’s Anthony Mithen feels Strasbourg is a fantastic addition to the Victorian Stallion ranks highlighting a sireline that is one of the most desirable in world throughbred breeding today.

“Incredibly excited to partner with China Horse Club on such an attractive horse. He’s a higher performed 2yo than his illustrious sire and a real clone of him physically. We’re confident breeders would agree he’d be the best looking son of ‘Vinny’ to be found anywhere in Australia,” Mithen said.

“Like Brazen Beau, Strasbourg is a Group II winning juvenile by I Am Invincible who also shares the same 2yo Timeform rating as the successful young Darley stallion.

“In fact, he’s the only I Am Invincible colt at stud to be a winning, stakes performer prior to Christmas. He certainly possesses the early sharpness that is typical of his sire and the turn of foot he showed to win the Sires over 1400m was one of a proper colt.”

Strasbourg was a $750,000 Magic Millions yearling purchase

Combined with a pedigree full of black type winners and high class 2yo’s, Strasbourg appeals as an intriguing option for breeders who will have the chance to be involved in his career with a limited number of lifetime breeding rights available in him.

“He’ll be set at a very fair fee of $10,000 + GST (Lifetime Breeding Rights available at $20,000 + GST). The value in the breeding right is especially hard to ignore given it is two nominations each year for the first three years, then one perpetually. I urge breeders to call in and see Strasbourg for themselves – he is simply next level as a physical specimen,” added Mithen.

Rosemont & CHC have indeed have come up with a fun & exciting bonus opportunity for potential lifetime breeding right purchasers…Purchase one of a limited number of lifetime breeding rights in the stunning, Group winning 2yo by I Am Invincible and be in the running to win a business class trip for two to none other than the idyllic French city of Strasbourg!
