Randwick Quinella for Pride of Dubai

Tara Madgwick - Saturday June 6

The open juvenile event at Randwick on Saturday proved a walk in the park for Pride of Dubai colt Achiever, who raced away for an easy win over another Pride of Dubai colt in Street Dancer.

Third to highly rated colt Peltzer at his previous run on May 23, the Chris Waller trained Achiever highlighted the strength of that form with this dominant display.

He settled near the rear for Brenton Avdulla and bounded away to win the 1400m contest as he pleased by three and a quarter lengths.

Never further back than fourth in four previous starts, Achiever was overdue to break the ice and has now won over $90,000 in prizemoney.

"He will be the type we can aim at a race like the Spring Champion Stakes in the spring," Chris Waller said in his post race remarks.

"He was on our JJ Atkins team until he ran third last start and just missed the cut.

"He has always shown us ability which is why we still have him up and going."

An $80,000 Inglis Premier purchase for Star Thoroughbreds / Randwick Bloodstock from the Erinvale Thoroughbreds draft, Achiever was bred by the Vieira Group and is a half-brother to Group III winner Decircles and three other stakes horses being from the family of champions Elvstroem, Haradasun and Highland Reel.

His dam Lady Circles was covered last spring by Trapeze Artist.

Achiever is the ninth winner for Pride of Dubai, who stands at Coolmore this spring at a fee of $38,500.
