Ringerdingding to Stand at Wyndholm Park

Media Release - Sunday May 31

Wyndholm Park Stud situated in Ballarat Victoria are delighted to announce the acquisition of Ringerdingding to their stallion roster for the 2020 breeding season.

The strikingly handsome, black son of Sebring (More than Ready) ex Maybe I (Red Ransom) was a $170K yearling purchased out of the Three Bridges Melbourne Premier draft in 2017. Ringerdingding is looking to fill the void left by the ill feted Rebel Raider who had stood at Wyndholm Park since 2012.

Ringerdingding

Ringerdingding will be offered this season at an introductory fee of $6,600 (GST inc)

Ringerdingding was a 2yo winner @ Rosehill on debut, vindicating his impressive trial form. Following this maiden victory, he raced on creditably in black type races his next three starts. It was his move to Victoria in his 3yo career where he clearly showed his untapped ability. During his 3yo season, he won the Listed Springtime Stakes @ Flemington on Stakes Day, displaying his now accustomed devastating turn of foot in a last to first victory. He then backed up in the G2 Sandown Guineas repeating those theatrics in electrifying style beating G1 winner Seabrook.

After a 12-week spell, he returned in his 3yo season to place in the listed autumn stakes at Caulfield. This was followed by a memorable run, rattling home typically from an impossible position in the G1 Australian guineas to run 4th behind Mystic Journey.

However, it is on his return to Randwick, Sydney where he produced arguably his most impressive victory. After being balloted out of the G1 Doncaster Handicap, Ringerdingding took his place on the same day, over the same trip in the Carbine Club Stakes.

Producing yet again his withering finishing burst, he saluted winning in a time of 1:37.84 shouldering top weight of 59 kg to victory. In comparison, his fellow 3yo Brutal won the G1 Doncaster in 1:37.65 carrying just 49.5kg with G Boss in the saddle. Oh, what could have been!

The owners of Ringerdingding decided it was time to give their well credentialed son of Sebring his chance in the breeding barn. Retiring a Group 2, Group 3 and Listed winner of over $550,000 in prizemoney at distances between 1100 and 1600 metres. Amazingly 21 of his 24 starts were in Group and Listed company.

The owners are made up by the successful owner/breeders Ricky Surace of B2B Thoroughbreds (Star Witness), Viv Oldfield (Shamus Award), Sean Duke (Jakkalberry) and Wilf Mula (Flying Artie) look forward to supporting Ringerdingding in his newest phase of his career.

Standing at 15.3” Ringerdingding is a gorgeous yet masculine, black entire son of Sebring oozing athleticism. We believe he is genetically suited to Danehill free mares, looking to throw agility, looks and quality into his progeny.

Ringerdingding is letting down into a gorgeous looking horse.

Wyndholm Park is owned by prominent equine veterinarian Dr. Kim McKellar and his wife, Liz.
