First Season Favourites –The Autumn Sun

Tara Madgwick - Friday May 22

The recent Inglis Chairman’s Sale for elite broodmares provided an enticing sample of what’s to come in terms of quality mares in foal to last season’s vintage offering of first crop sires headed by the big three – Trapeze Artist, Justify and The Autumn Sun.

As a five time Group I winner, The Autumn Sun is the best colt by his legendary sire Redoute’s Choice and being from a daughter of another legend in Galileo brings together two of the world’s best sirelines.

A Group I winner at two and three, from 1400m to 2000m, The Autumn Sun was beaten only once in nine starts and retired with the same Timeform rating of 126 as his sire Redoute’s Choice.
