One to Watch – Chantilly

Tara Madgwick - Wednesday May 13

Lope de Vega (IRE) has two runners in the Group I SAJC Goodwood Handicap (1200m) this Saturday in Gytrash and Santa Ana Lane and he also gave us a ‘One to Watch’ in France overnight that has some close relations here in Australia.

A homebred for the Aga Khan, three year-old filly Simeen kept her unbeaten record intact when she powered home for an easy victory over a mile at Chantilly.

Trained by Jean-Claude Rouget and ridden by Christophe Soumillion, Simeen has won three from three.

Aga Khas Studs Tweeted - Simeen came from last to first to win the Prix de la Pistole on seasonal debut today. She remains unbeaten in three starts and will now be aimed at the Poule d'Essai.
