Maurice Colt Tops Arrowfield Unreserved Online Yearling Sale

A draft of 25 yearlings offered unreserved by Arrowfield Stud on the May 12 online sale run by bloodtockauction.com produced plenty of bids with a Maurice (Jpn) colt the top seller at $55,550 inc GST.

Maurice colt from Miss St Tropez

He is the second foal of Miss St Tropez, a placed half-sister by Magnus to Group II winner Don’t Tell Mama and stakes-winners Risen from Doubt.

The fourth dam of the colt is blue hen Joie Denise, the dam of Group I winners Tuesday Joy and Sunday Joy, the dam of champion mare More Joyous.

Other good sales were a Snitzel colt from Phyllis Maude bought for $45,100 and a Redoute’s Choice colt from Grisi bought for $40,700.
