$1.6 Million for G1 Written Tycoon Mare Booker

Written Tycoon’s brilliant Group I MRC Oakleigh Plate winner Booker was in hot demand at the Inglis Chairman’s Sale attracting spirited bidding before Coolmore’s Tom Magnier won the day with a successful bid of $1.6million.

Lot 31 Booker sold for $1.6million

Consigned by Yarran Thoroughbreds on behalf of her owners Barry and Midge Griffiths, Booker is a full sister to stakes-winner Banquo and won over $850,000 on the track.

She has always been a good looker and made $230,000 at the 2016 Inglis Premier Yearling Sale when offered by Mill Park and bought by Barry Griffiths making her the most expensive filly by her sire sold in 2016.

Booker is one of eight Group I winners sired by Written Tycoon, who is moving to Arrowfield Stud this spring and is sure to be super popular at a fee of $77,000.
