Proven Record of Success for Bell View Park Mares

Since changing their business model to creating quality broodmare prospects rather than producing yearlings, South Coast bloodstock enterprise Bell View Park has achieved remarkable success making their entries for the upcoming Inglis Chairman’s Sale a must inspect for serious investors.

"Our focus is driven by quality,” said Adam Mackrell.

“We pride ourselves on sourcing elite broodmare prospects, mating them to highly commercial stallions that suit physically and genetically and then presenting them in outstanding order at the leading broodmare auctions.

“We invest a lot of time and effort into buying mares and mating them accordingly so that they not only tick a lot of boxes on paper, but physically have the capability of producing highly desirable yearlings and athletic racehorses."

Bell View Park are renowned for meeting the market and have sold 93 of 95 mares they have offered to date in the sale ring.

“A majority of Bell View Park's mares are still young, but from our first sale of 24 mares in 2016, five mares have produced stakes winners and two have produced stakes placed getters,” Mackrell said.

“This draft included Group I winner Barinka, who produced this year’s Inglis Millennium winner, Prime Star.”

This year has already seen some very pleasing results at the major sales from Bell View Park sold mares.

“Frankel mare Dream in Colour (GB) was sold in foal to Exceed and Excel for 750k to Peter Ford Thoroughbreds on behalf of Nick Wakim's Hilldene Farm and she produced a $1.1million colt by Exceed and Excel at this year’s Magic Millions Yearling Sale,” Mackrell revealed.

“We have two mares by her sire Frankel in our draft for the Chairman’s Sale.”

Stakes-winning mare Tarquinn Shadow was sold in foal to Brazen Beau for 115k to Scott Irwin of Rothwell Park and produced a colt that made 330k at the Magic Millions Sale after being sold as a weanling for 180k.

Stakes-winning mare If I Can I Can was sold to Musk Creek Farm for 350k in foal to I am Invincible. Her first 3 foals have grossed $1.035million at the yearling sales, including a Hinchinbrook colt that made 460k at this year's MM yearling sale.

“We recently updated our website ( visit the Bell View Park site here) which now provides a range of information about each mare including pedigrees, race records, conformational photos, videos, pregnancy certificates, mare heights and additional mare information buyers may find useful,” Mackrell added.

The draft is now available for inspection at Brett and Rachael Howard's Glenesk Thoroughbreds which is located at Mt Vincent in the lower Hunter Valley. Glenesk Thoroughbreds currently have 11 entries for the sale, including the likes of Group winners Noire and Think Bleue, so any serious breeder should organise an inspection which can be done by phoning Brett Howard on 0403 037 773.
