Stakes Goals for Exciting Deep Field Filly

The Tony Gollan stable have high hopes for flying Deep Field filly Isotope, who kept her record perfect at Sunshine Coast on Saturday when scoring a dominant victory at her second start.

Isotope won by daylight when leading all the way to win on debut earlier this month over 1110 metres by 10 lengths.

Dropped back to 1000 metres for this assignment, the talented two year-old  was restrained to take a sit behind the leader and then accelerated when asked, going on to win by two and a quarter lengths in a brisk 57.67 seconds.



“She’s such a relaxed filly and you can see that in the mounting yard. She has a great demeanour and that’s going to help her a lot,” Gollan said.

“She’s ready for six furlongs now, so we’ll just wait for the Champagne Stakes (May 23) .”

A $170,000 Magic Millions purchase for Gollan Rcg/J Foote Bstock/Black Soil Bstock from the draft of Daandine Stud, Isotope has won over $50,000 from her two wins to date.

Isotope is a bright prospect for Deep FieldBred by Daandine Stud, she is the first winner for Great Dansaar a half-sister by Choisir to Group I winner Yankee Rose from the family of New Zealand Derby winner Redoute’s Dancer.

Daandine sold the current yearling from Great Dansaar, a filly by Winning Rupert, at Magic Millions this year for $90,000 to Darby Racing / De Burgh Equine.

She has a weanling colt to follow by Sebring and is in foal to Spirit of Boom.

Isotope one of eight juvenile winner this season for Deep Field, who is also Australia’s leading sire of three year-old winners.
