Third Winner for Rich Enuff

Mark Smith - Wednesday April 22

Placed in two of her previous five starts, the Paul Butterworth-trained filly Hamilton Hill broke her maiden in style over 1050 metres at Doomben on Wednesday to credit her first season sire Rich Enuff with his third winner.

After beginning like a rocket for Sean Cormack, Hamilton Hill led up Shooting Roses and Roman Reign and that is the way they finished.

The daughter of Rich Enuff defeated the Shooting To Win filly Shooting Roses by one and three-quarter lengths with the Holy Roman Emperor filly Roman Reign a short-half-head in third ahead of the Rich Enuff gelding Kipchoge at his career debut.

A $40,000 purchase by her trainer out of the Daandine Stud draft at the 2019 Magic Millions Gold Coast Yearling Sale, Hamilton Hill is the second foal and second winner out of the accomplished Ferocity mare Divine City whose six wins include the Listed BRC Just Now Stakes.

Purchased by Daandine Stud / Boomer Bloodstock (FBAA) for $160,000 at the 2015 Inglis Australian Broodmare Sale, Divine City hails from the family of Group 1 winners Pride Of Rosewood and Admiral Lincoln.

She has a yearling filly by Bel Esprit and a weanling colt by Deep Field and was covered by Super One last spring.

Woodside Park Stud’s Group II VRC Danehill Stakes winner Rich Enuff opened his account with the Doomben winner Plutocrat before Sassy Enuff added to the tally at the Gold Coast in February.

The striking son of Written Tycoon covered a career-high 127 mares last spring at a fee of $12,100.
